Sparks Fly at District-5 Forum
Sparks Flew in a District 5 Forum with Bill Bledsoe and Josh Thornton
Candidates for US House District 5 met in a forum in Spartanburg. The audience was in rare form, grilling the candidates with questions that made the sparks fly. Both candidates were in agreement on one thing, the problem is caused by the 2 Majority Parties.
Josh Thornton, representing the American Party, said, “The reason that I’m running is to offer the people an alternative.” He said, “Both Majority Parties are the same, and the people want a choice of something different. I’m offering them a choice.” Later he said, “Wouldn’t it be great to be able to agree to back President Trump on one bill, and choose to not back him on another bill. The two Majority Parties tell their candidates when and how to vote, so they don’t have a choice.”
Bill Bledsoe let the sparks fly when he said, “We have a bad Government and bad Majority Parties. I’m a veterinarian and I’ve dedicated my life to fighting diseases. The Parties and the Government are like a bad disease and I’m offering you a cure.”
Bill Bledsoe said, “The two Parties do the exact same thing when they get to Washington.” He said, “Obamacare could have been repealed at any time, with a one sentence bill, that is already on the books. Yet neither Party wants to follow the will of the people and repeal Obamacare.” He also said, “We have the largest military budget, and military, that the world has ever known. But both Parties want to increase military spending when we don’t even have any wars.”
